Wood Demon

Jack, a young man from Earth, is inexplicably transported into the world of Demon Slayer, finding himself in the body of a newly turned demon by Muzan. Overcome by primal hunger, he tragically kills a family, an act that fills him with immense remorse just as a game-like System awakens, revealing his plant-based Blood Demon Art. Discovering he can absorb energy from trees to level up (reaching Level 37), Jack sees a path to survive without further human victims.

His sanctuary is shattered when he stumbles into Mount Natagumo and is forcibly recruited into the “family” of Rui, the Lower Moon Five demon (Level 39-40). Jack witnesses the terror Rui inflicts on his other coerced “family” members – the monstrous “Father,” tragic “Mother,” and beautiful, fearful “Sister,” Saya. While secretly leveling up and developing new abilities like Wood Clones, Jack forms a deep, dangerous bond with Saya.

Their growing closeness and Jack’s inexplicable power-ups enrage Rui, leading to nightly battles that scar the mountain. This destruction attracts the Demon Slayer Corps, including powerful Hashira. Recognizing this overwhelming threat, Jack makes the desperate decision to escape Natagumo with Saya. Surprisingly, the Mother and Father agree to flee as well, leading to a furious confrontation with Rui, who sees their exodus as the ultimate betrayal. The story currently sees them attempting this desperate escape amidst chaos.
