Chapter 6: Rejection

Raj shook his head, and said: “Even if I don’t remember about my past, I at least know that nothing in this world comes for free.”

Newgate got shocked when he heard such philosophical words from a 16 year old boy.

“It looks like your past is not so good.”

Newgate shook his head, and said: “You don’t have to be so rigid against Marines, they are not bad guys.”

Immediately Raj eyes showed a little disdainful color, but it vanishes in less than a second.

Marines are not bad guys. Only a fool will take these words seriously.

In One Piece World, you can’t trust anyone. Literally anyone.

Raj has already decided before that ‘Now the world is completely changed, I can’t judge characters on the basis of Anime.’

Newgate is looking towards Lucci, so he failed to detect the disdainful expression of Raj, otherwise, he immediately understand that Raj memories are not gone, and he know something about Marines.

“So, what are your plans?” Newgate asked.

“Nothing, I just stay on this island, and try to remember my past. As soon as, I remember it, I will return back to my home.”

This is completely a joke, because Raj know that he has no home in this world.

“Why don’t you join Marines, it will help you find your past faster. I will even take you as my student.”

Marine soldiers around Newgate were so shocked that you can even put an egg in their mouth.

Raj shook his head, and said: “Really sorry old man, I will not join any group until I know my identity. If previously, I am a pirate then you will just directly catch me, and throw me into jail. I can’t take that risk.”

Newgate face sinks when he heard Raj’s rejection.

Newgate subconsciously release some killing intent, but suddenly remember that Lucci is still there.

So, he just took back his killing intent, and smiled: “It’s ok. We are still staying in this place for 2 days. If you change your mind, you can come back to me.”

Lucci and Raj, both detected the killing intent because they have Lion’s instinct.

Raj strength is so weak that he can be killed by just releasing little bit of Conqueror Haki, but Lucci presence saved his life.

Raj also know that this Newgate is completely different from real Whitebeard.

Raj instincts are telling him that as soon as Newgate took Lucci back, he would be attacked by these Marines.

Before Newgate can took away Lucci, Raj started to walk towards the sea.

Lucci look at Raj, and asked: “Where are you going? Let’s have dinner together.”

Raj can feel the genuine care from Lucci’s word, so smiled and said: “I am going to catch some fish for dinner, you go on, I will meet you later.”

After saying that Raj didn’t turned around, and his walking speed towards sea is increased.

Newgate also not understand Raj’s intension until he reached jumped into the sea.

After 2 minutes, Raj have not come out, and Newgate activate his Observation Haki to search.

Newgate immediately found that Raj is still diving towards the sea depth.

Newgate understand his intention, and immediately ordered.

“He is trying to run away, immediately go and catch him.”

All Marine soldiers around Newgate reacted, and jumped into the sea.

“Grandpa, what are you doing? He is my friend.”

Newgate look at Lucci, and said: “Are you a fool? He is definitely a pirate. You are going to join CP organisation, and catching pirates is your job, even if they are your friends. And if they found out that you are a pirate friend, they will disqualify you.”

Lucci immediately shouted: “But I don’t want to join World Government. I want to be a pirate.”

Newgate immediately slapped so hard in the face of Lucci that he fly away for 30 meters before stopping.

“If you say these words one more time, I will kill that damn Kuzan in front of you.”

“No Grandpa, he saved my life.”

Newgate disdainfully look at him, and said: “This is the reason why he is still alive, otherwise, I would have already killed him.”

“After two day, I will take you to Mari-Joa, where I will make sure that you will be personally trained by best officers who can make you best CP member.”

After saying that Newgate turned around, and walk away.

In this One Piece World, Joining Marine is the best job possible. You will get unlimited power, and you can earn lots of money.

And becoming pirates are like petty criminals whom Marine can squash like a bug.

In this world, even Pirate Emperor are so weak that they will run away as soon as they see any of the Marine Admirals. Just Garp is an exception.

Newgate alone have the strength to beat two pirate Emperors team alone, so he always been disdainful about Pirates.

And in same way, CP organisation disdainful towards Marines.

This is a sour point of Newgate, so he wants his son to join CP organisation, but he just betray him, and created Revolutionary Army.

If his son don’t have the devil fruit power to move faster, he would have already been killed by Marines or CP agents.

Now that Newgate got the chance to let his Grandson become CP agent, but that damn Kuzan filled wrong idea’s in his mind.

Now that World Government decided to destroy his home town (Ohara), Newgate immediately decided to take away his grandson.
