Chapter 10:

“Gahh! This fuckin hurts man~” I couldn’t help but yell in pain as I made my way back.

That magician had dealt more damage then I could have thought, I wasn’t feeling it before but his vines had some kind of effect on me, I don’t know why but my wounds won’t stop bleeding for some reason.

I guess my sturdy body was fighting the effects before, not it was losing.

It took me ten minutes to get back, I was greeted with the sight of four tied up thugs as they were being lashed at. Mr Leo was acting like a devil as he was crazily beating them up.

The small time goons were dead already, I couldn’t help but gulp as I looked at him.

The guards stopped Mr Leo once they saw me, as soon as Mr Leo saw me, the guy ran ahead and hugged me.

“It’s alright I guess!” I was shocked, he hadn’t acted like this ever, I guess being close to death does change people.

“No! You don’t understand, you could have ran away, hell I wouldn’t even blame you for that, as you were meant to protect us, but you held on, you got the little bastard and helped the others deal with them, I don’t doubt the fact that we all would have died if it weren’t for you being here.” he said as he looked at me with his thankful gaze.

“I guess, hahaha!” I had never been thanked so profusely, for a moment I had even forgotten I was tired and hurt as hell.

“Oh my God, you are bleeding, how are you even standing with these injuries, Anhton, go and call the healer!” Mr Leo yelled as he helped me sit down,

Then a guy came and started using his grimoire, a white light descend and started healing me, ah! so blissful.

I could feel my strained muscles were mending back together.

‘Holy Fuck! 1000 Points for fighting… It looks like I need to change my training routine…’ Rob couldn’t help but started to think.

“Rob, You stay here, I will be back in a minute” Mr Leo said as he stood up and walked towards the guard who was making sure that the bandits don’t run away,

I looked at the bandits, the guy who I took with me to the forest was looking at me with killing intent in his eyes. The one I had punched by surprise attack was still unconscious.

I sighed, I was feeling heavy, I guess it won’t hurt to sleep for a while. with that thought, I went to dreamland.

I groaned as I felt the carriage moving along the road and the neighing of the horses.

“Can’t a man sleep for once in peace” I blurred out

“Hahaha, but you are still a kid!” I opened my eyes to see who it was, it was one of the guards, they usually don’t speak much, but then I remembered how I risked my life yesterday for them.

I returned a smile, as I knew I had somehow earned their recognition, which mean now I had another contact.

More people I get to have connections with the more people I can count on.

“How you feeling?” He was asked

I stretched my arms and legs, I was as good as new.

“Never better!” I replied, earning another chuckle from the guard.

I looked around, as we were the only ones in this carriage and I am guessing that this is the Carriage that belongs to Mr Leo.

“Don’t worry, Mr Leo is in the house while we two are going back to the warehouse,” He told me

“How long was an asleep for?”

“Haha! I was thinking when you will ask that, you kept sleeping for a day!” He told me.

I mentally groaned at that, one day of training was left.

But I guess I did get some hefty rewards from the system for fighting I did just the day before yesterday or night.

For the first time he saw so many points all together.

And it looks like now even skills can also be level up.

Rob thought for a second, and decided to level up Armament Haki first.

Nothing is more important than defence. Plus Armament Haki also boost strength.

Suddenly Rob felt some kind of lock opened, and Armament Haki which can only cover his arms, now he feel he can cover any part of his body.

His fingers, eyeballs, hair, penis, and so on… Literally anything can be covered.

Rob also understand that he need 500 points to level up skill.

It means he can level up 1 more skill. Which would it be.

Observation Haki, which increase his danger sense.

Conqueror Haki, which mess with others mind.

Or Shave, which allowed him to run fast.

After thinking for a second, Rob choose Observation Haki.

Reason is pretty simple.

If you able to sense danger, then only you can decided whether to stay or run.

Same thing happened, and Rob unconsciously learned how to sense other powers.

He checked the other two Wizard guards, he found that one of them is Level 15, and Other one is Level 17.

“Though I have to thank you properly!” I got out of my self-thoughts as the guard did a half bow.

“You saved me and my brother Leo, I am forever thankful for that, if you have anything you want to ask, please go ahead,” He said

“Huh! so you and he are brothers,” I asked out of surprise.

“What else did you think, I was good enough to fight as a mage, but not enough to join the magic knights so, I took the post of staying beside my bro all times, the other guy is our cousin.”

“My name is Anton by the way, I think I should have mentioned that before, here” He handed me something, it was a giant cylindrical box,

I opened it up carefully and saw a beautifully crafted katana.

It was beautiful and had a far stronger blade than my previous one.

“We saw what happened to your blade, and decided it would be best to give you a new one, again, I am thankful for your services to my family!” he said

“It’s alright I guess, I am getting paid after all,” I said as a matter of fact,

“Haha! you are an innocent guy, I guess that’s why… that’s why you didn’t run away with the goods and chose to stay and fight, I was wrong you aren’t a kid, you are a man, and not many are like you!” He said to me as he gave me a shoulder pat.

I just gave him a nod before I got back to the blade, I traced a finger across it’s blade, yup, it’s definitely sharp as hell.

It might be able to handle my Haki better.

Though I guess I am still weak as hell, I had to work so hard to beat a single deadass Thug, I can’t imagine how strong a magic knight would be.
