Chapter 15: Problem!

Once we were away from the villagers, One of the robed men, took out his grimoire and chanted what I could only think was a camouflage spell, before one of them grabbed me using vines and we left for only God knows where as I was being covered.

‘Maybe I should have run away, but judging from the power I am experiencing, I wouldn’t have gotten far’ I thought.

While we were flying, I only had one guess as to where I was going, to the bandit’s lair, or some shit like that.

Just as I thought, after fifteen minutes of flying, we finally arrived at our destination, I floated beside them as they took me in, it was a cave, more like a cave system inside the mountains.

I tried to get in as much information as I could, I am pretty sure that this is not my last day, I mean, they still haven’t killed me off, which means I will be able to escape as long as I become stronger.

“Get a move on, you peasant!” The guy kicked me, it seems I was too deep in my thoughts that I slowed down.

After two minutes of walking, we arrived at what I would call a bigger compartment inside the cave system

Only a single man was sitting on a throne made of stone, as he looked at me, I felt my breath go away, he was strong, stronger than these idiots to be honest.

“Hmmm is this the one that killed on of ours!” he said, looking at me with interest or anger, I couldn’t tell as the man was able to hide his expression.

The one’s beside me knelt down and answered.

One of them grabbed me so that I would kneel as well, since I didn’t have any chance of winning, I decided to kneel as well, it wouldn’t take long for me to return the favor.

“You may stand…” He said and everyone stood up, including me of course.

“Sire! we have used our magic and concluded that this is the person that defiled our plans, he should be hanged on a cross and stripped of his skin, to be made an example of, so that none of the people ever dare to go against us.” One of the guy, who I thought would agree to this, said something really smart.

“Hmm yeah sure, and when the magic knights come, I can bring you in and have them skin you, You idiot!”

“Do you think we would survive a day after doing something like that” The leader was already beside us,

The mere speed he used to move made me gasp in horror, this thing is becoming more and more dangerous, not like it mattered as I am not even strong enough to defeat these lackeys, much less their leader who moves like a speedster.

He then looked at me, as if looking through my soul, which I knew was him using his magic pressure to demean me,

I looked back at him, unlike his lackeys who had their heads hung low and trembled in fear, if I was really about to die, I might as well go with my head held high.

As my Conqueror Haki also started to radiate.

“Since he has killed one of our own, he shall take his place, I am sure you don’t have a problem with that, do you?” He said to me.

‘Huh! what kind of a development is this?’ Before I could do anything, I felt myself black out.

I knew for a fact that I had been hit on the back of my head, because my Observation Haki detected it.

But he was not fast enough to dodge it, or use Armament Haki to defend.

‘Great! now I am a bandit, my life is becoming shorter and shorter!’ I couldn’t help but chuckle as I fell asleep.

Since he has killed one of my pawns, I shall make him a pawn as well, he shall serve his purpose and die trying,

Leader looked at his hand that felt a little sore, this kid has a bit of a thick skin.

I was thrown in a cell, though it had all the necessities that I needed, which aren’t much,

And the guys give me food twice a day so I am doing good.

It’s nearly been two months and they haven’t let me out, more time for me I guess, I wonder if anyone back home is worried about me or not.

I kept training hard during these two months.

After all, I don’t have anything else to do here.

I sighed in dejection.

Even after going extra length, he still only able to rise 3 levels of Haki.

His target of reaching level 30 within a year is getting farther and farther away.

As the fact that if I used my inventory with these guys around, they might just figure out that my magic isn’t magic.

I stood up to the sound of the metallic door blasting open, one of the guys that brought me here, came, I slowly stood up and looked at him.

“Relax! I am not gonna hurt you kid. Boss is impressed with your ability to train like a maniac” he started going on and on about his Boss whose name I still don’t know.

I kept listening to his bickering, when he was done, he brought me through the high network cave with him and we finally came back to the same place where I once fainted.

“Kid! you are looking good, did my guys treat you well.”

I just nodded at him, if getting measly amounts of food and then training like hell is good, then I am not gonna question them.

“Silent treatment, haha! anyways, I have a job for you, my people will give you the details… and remember…”

He said and before I knew it, he was beside me, speaking right beside my ears, man! is he a psycho.

“If you try to escape or sabotage the operation, I will get rid of you, no matter how much your ability surprises me!” He said.

He said in an all too serious voice before he became jolly again, I get the vibe of a psychopath from him. I left with the guy who brought me here and he led me to another place.

We reached a storage place, and all kinds of weapons were placed here, Swords of different types, Battleaxe, Polearms, Scythe, and blunt weapons.

“Since you don’t have any offensive magical capabilities, the leader has asked us to equip you with some means of defence,” the Guy said as he mentioned for me to go ahead.

I looked at the weapons, going at them one by one.

I picked up a sword, a regular sword, it was time to try something new so I picked up several other weapons, one of each, surprisingly the guy didn’t stop me from doing this,

The weapons here were a grade above what I had before, I was sure that with these, I will be able to fend off bigger threats than before.

I also got myself a shield and arm guards and some protection for my vital organs and my little brother as well in case I came across some weirdo.

Although Haki can protect all these, but why waste hate, when you can use other things.

Atleast till you have lots of haki.

Maybe they think that just because they have magic, or that they are adults and have a grimoire, that they can do whatever they want and that I am not a threat… Just keep doing that,

I need to at least reach level 20 to deal with these guys, and level 30 if I want an easy win against that leader guy.

Yes, I sensed the leader level, because my Haki level has increased a lot.

I can’t just escape as that will, cause these guys to take revenge against my family.

So I need enough power to wipe them out.

I sighed and walked out along with the guy and we reached another room.

It had a big map, which I knew was a map of the clover kingdom along with several handmade pictures and figurines.

This was a bloody set-up room, I was going to be helping these guys loot people.

“Alright people, everyone is here, let’s do this,” The man said.

Sigh… this is bad, really bad, it seems I am going to cause more problems than I am worth, I mean, now that these guys have a willing space mage, one that has a storage ability, they are starting to plan big.

We will be looting a caravan tomorrow, one belonging to a multitude of merchants, and I am gonna be the one to make that a possibility, fuck.

I couldn’t help but curse.

No doubt stuff will be taken, but we will also be taking innocent lives… I will also be taking innocent lives… I am not ready for that.
