Talisman Magic in Harry Potter - Chapter 3

Chapter 3: Diagon Alley!!!
Diagon Alley!!
Andros looked at the peoples wondering around.
Most of them were childrens. And most of them are wearing wizard dress.
The sun shone brightly on a stack of cauldrons outside the nearest shop.
Cauldrons — All Sizes — Copper, Brass, Pewter, Silver — Self-Stirring —
Collapsible, said a sign hanging over them.
Andros wished he had about eight more eyes. He turned his head in every direction as he walked up the street, trying to look at everything at once: the shops, the things outside them, the people doing their shopping. A plump woman outside an Apothecary was shaking her head as they passed, saying, “Dragon liver, seventeen Sickles an ounce…”
A low, soft hooting came from a dark shop with a sign saying Eeylops Owl Emporium — Tawny, Screech, Barn, Brown, and Snowy. Several boys of about Andros’s age had their noses pressed against a window with broomsticks in
it. “Look,”
Andros heard one of them say, “the new Nimbus Two Thousand — fastest ever —”
There were shops selling robes, shops selling telescopes and strange silver instruments Andros had never seen before, windows stacked with barrels of bat spleens and eels’ eyes, tottering piles of spell books, quills, and
rolls of parchment, potion bottles, globes of the moon…
He has been in magic world for so long, but he have not even stepped out of his room.
That black dark room became his life for last 11 years.
And now even the bird chirpping around is a kind of heavenly view for him.
After seeing all this, Andros understand that sometime being dead is not cruel.
If he not awakened his Golden finger, then death can actually be his salvation.
Andros opened his Hogwarts admission letter, and checked the items he needs to purchase.

Andros looked at this list, and started to wonder around the Diagon Alley.
Although he can let Hokry purchase all these items for him, but after staying in same room for 11 years, Andros wants to not loose a single chance to stay outside.
It’s like this has created a psycological shadow in him, which prevents him to stay in same position for a long time.
He wants to see almost everything.
Soon Andros stood in front of a clothes shop. He didn’t know if this shop is the same as Harry Potter went, but he just didn’t care.
After all, this is a market. Their are definitely more than 1 clothing shop.
And most importantly, he didn’t remember much of a plot. After all, he went through torture for 11 years.
How can he remember the plot till now.
Andros entered the shop alone, not feeling nervous at all.
He is not a 11 years old kid, who never went to shopping. He is adult soul in this 11 years old boy body.
A old lady comes out while smiling.
“Hogwarts, dear?” she said, when Andros about to speak.
“Got the lot here — another young man being fitted up just now, in fact.”
In the back of the shop, a boy with golden hair, pointed face was standing on a footstool while a second witch pinned up his long black robes.
Shop owner stood Andros on a stool next to him slipped a long robe over his head, and began to pin it to the right length.
“Hello,” said the boy, “Hogwarts, too?”
“Yes,” said Andros.
“My father’s next door buying my books and mother’s up the street looking at wands,” said the boy. He had a bored, drawling voice. “Then I’m going to drag them off to took at racing brooms. I don’t see why first years can’t have their own. I think I’ll bully father into getting me one and I’ll smuggle it in
somehow.”
Andros was strongly reminded of Dudley.
“Have you got your own broom?” the boy went on.
“No,” said Harry.
“Play Quidditch at all?”
“No,” Andros said again, wondering what on earth Quidditch could be.
Although he lived in Magic world, but because of his disease, and several years of torture in darkness, he doesn’t have mood to read books.
Because of this, he didn’t have much knowledge about magic world.
“I do — Father says it’s a crime if I’m not picked to play for my house, and I must say, I agree. Know what house you’ll be in yet?”
“No,” said Andros. He finally know something. After all, he know that in Harry Potter first movie, they were divided into different houses.
“Well, no one really knows until they get there, do they, but I know I’ll be in Slytherin, all our family have been — imagine being in Hufflepuff, I think
I’d leave, wouldn’t you?”
“Mmm,” said Andros, wishing he could say something a bit more interesting.
Andros soon ordered few dresses, and gave his size.
Andros doesn’t have much interest in wizard dressing sense, because he know he likes Muggle dresses.
Otherwise wearing those long robes will be really a big hassle.
Andros soon started to get bored while shopping.
He didn’t know much about magic world, so most of the items look weird for him.
And most importantly, he didn’t which item has what kind of effect.
He didn’t want to touch some black magic item, or item which can harm him. After all, Horse Talisman can heal him, but can’t protect him from magic attack.
For instance, it cannot undo the effects of a chi spell (it couldn’t restore Valmont to his true age when Daolon Wong transformed him into a child because, technically, there was nothing wrong with him).
So if something happened to him related to magic, then it will be a disaster.
